as the theme might imply, this is a valentine's day special... i've actually been planning this one for a while, and it had a few revisiona before i settled on the final recipe. i was originally gonna use rosehips, but they got lost in the mail because of unfortunate weather, and when i finally got them (i just placed a new order)< didnt have the flavor i was looking for. i also overestimated how much ginger would be needed. so, after a tea delivery that was lost to snow and a couple changes to the recipe... here's a tea blend for the Holiday of Hearts!!

just like last time, this is a looseleaf blend, so youll have to boil the water while youre prepping ingredients.go ahead and do that now.the first ingredient is an obvious go-to for this holiday- Rose Tea!! it's gotta be rose tea specifically, though- rose hips dont have the same flavor to them, unfortunately. the second ingredient is a little bit of ginger. dont overdo it- ginger's a powerful ingredient, and it can easily overshadow the rose flavor. third, ad a stick of cinnamon!! cinnamon a sweet, earthy flavor that will interact well with the ginger's subtle spice. lastly, my favorite- a bay leaf. both because it will help with good luck in relationships, whether they be platonic, romantic, or familial, and because it compliments the other flavors in the blend. as your water starts to boil, add the ingredients to your pot, and let it simmer for a while. serve warm, to yourself or to loved ones, and enjoy!! i hope you enjoy this valentine's day blend as much as i do!!
